Drinking Tonight - 1983 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre, Bacheroy-Josselin

Notice that the cork didn´t want to leave the bottle...

Well, winter has temporarily (or at least I hope so!) conquered Sweden. I just received a nice parcel of bottles, and to go with a hearthy fish soup I opened one of the new arrivales.

1983 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre, Bacheroy-Josselin
A lovely, big, mature nose with notes of dried apricots, moist mushrooms, old coconut, matchbox, decaying flowers and some pine apples in the background. A fine, deep, round nose. A very fine maturity. I love these big, textured and backboned 83´s!
The taste is mature, viscous and finely structured with notes of ripe lemons and tangerines, sweet red tea, matchbox and dry fudge. The finish is long and fine, with a great acidity and a nice body. Drinking great today and surely for another 3+ years.
